I had tried using ajaxtoolkit dlls - which are very heavy - hence was looking for a simpler method.

If you forgot your Facebook or Twitter password, you hit a button and receive an email with instructions on how to reset the password. You could also argue how secure is that? 
 
Every week I receive two or three emails from Gmail saying that I requested to change my password and a link to proceed. Every time I received it, I got a little scared, but they suggested that if I didn&#039;t initiated the request then just to ignore the email.   </description>
